Introduction
The Data Protection Act 2018 is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains what information Eva Designs collects about you, how it is used and stored. For the purposes of data protection law, Eva Designs will be the controller.
What Data Is Collected
Eva Designs collects data provided during communication with you by email and/or by phone call to facilitate the provision of interior design services. The information gathered may include the following:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Address
- Other relevant information in respect of your enquiry
How This Data Is Used
The data you provide is used:
- For recording keeping purposes
- To provide interior design services
How This Data Is Stored
Eva Designs has implemented security safeguards to ensure that your information is held securely.
How Long Data Is Stored
Eva Designs will only use and store information for so long as it is required for the purposes it was collected for. How long information will be stored for depends on the information in question and what it is being used for. For example, if you decide to proceed with commissioning Eva Designs for your project, invoices and financial records pertaining to that project will be kept for seven years.
Keeping You In Control
Eva Designs wants to ensure you remain in control of your personal data. Part of this is making sure you understand your legal rights, which are as follows:
- the right to confirmation as to whether or not Eva Designs has your personal data and, if so, to obtain a copy of the personal information held (this is known as subject access request)
- the right to have your data erased (though this will not apply where it is necessary for Eva Designs to continue to use the data for a lawful reason)
- the right to have inaccurate data rectified

You can complain directly to Eva Designs by contacting eva@evadesigns.uk. If you are not happy with the response, or you believe that your data protection or privacy rights have been infringed, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office which regulates and enforces data protection law in the UK.
